About us

“Sparksartists” was formed as a group in 2001. We are all committed to our work as individual visual artists but also enjoy collaborating and sharing ideas within the area of community arts. Our aims are to reduce the isolation of artists and also to raise awareness of the arts in our local community.

Heather Hunter

Christine Tacq

Meryl Bird

Jo Abela

Jo uses a variety of printmaking and mixed media techniques to create one off and small edition collagraph, drypoint, mono-prints and collages; drawing on themes including botanical printing, the landscape, still life, poetry and memory. http://instagram.com/jo.abela_art/

Jackie Nichols

Jackie Nichols is a collagraphic print maker.
She enjoys playing with  colour and texture within the medium to create prints which vary in subject matter from family based subjects, museum inspired pieces to shared Sparksartists’ projects and current fascinations.

Jan Ruddock
